The data envelopment analysis (DEA) is a mathematical programming that can be used to evaluate the relative efficiencies of a set of decision-making units (DMUs) involving multiple inputs and outputs. As a nonparametric technique, it does not require a priori information of production technology. Applications where DEA can be found are widespread. This talk will revolve around two interrelated topics in production analysis based on DEA: efficiency analysis and resource allocation. Roughly, the studies of efficiency analysis are descriptive and those of resource allocation are prescriptive. The first topic will focus on the ex post evaluation function of DEA. In the course of it, I will take as illustrative examples the efficiency analysis of production systems with dual-role factors and multiple components respectively. In the second topic, I will concentrate on the ex ante planning function of DEA. To shed light on the wide range of normative applications of DEA, I will draw on some recent methodological developments: bi-criteria resource allocation model and resource allocation models under voluntary compliance regime in DEA.
 
报告人简介:
丁晶晶博士现为中国科学技术大学管理学院博士后。丁博士2007年毕业于东北林业大学工业工程专业获工学学士,并于同年进入中国科学技术大学管理科学与工程专业就读。他长期从事数据包括分析(DEA)评价理论与应用的研究工作。在攻读博士学位期间,在评价理论和资源分配方面做了一些工作。目前相关成果在INFOR, Applied Mathematical Modeling, Annals of Operational research, International Journal of Information Technology and Decision Making、管理科学学报、系统工程学报和中国管理科学等国内外期刊上发表,并受邀担任European Journal of Operational Research,Journal of Operational Research Society,Applied Mathematical Modeling等国际期刊审稿人。他的研究兴趣为利用数学规划和概率统计模型开展非参数评价理论、资源分配和定价理论等研究。
