A large number of papers about outpatient appointment scheduling assume patients arrive on time. However, unpunctuality is a stochastic factor inevitable in practice, which leads to disorder arrival between adjacent patients. It is more likely the schedule may not be reasonable if the clinic neglects the influence of patient unpunctuality. This paper investigates the outpatient scheduling considering unpunctuality (OS-U) from the perspective of optimization, and tries to address the question that how the schedule and system performances behave considering unpunctuality in comparison with strictly-punctuality (OS-P). | |||
