报告内容摘要 | Supply chain management (SCM) was originated from the traditional research area of production and operations management, but its scope is much broader than just functional areas such as procurement, production or distribution. In fact, the scope and trend of supply chain research are still evolving. In this presentation, a comprehensive research framework for SCM will be first introduced which targets complex supply networks such as those in the automotive and electronic industries. Meanwhile, the presentation and discussion will be focused on three key themes for supply chain research, which include supply network coordination, supply chain risk management and sustainable SCM. | ||
Huaqing Xu obtained his PhD from Imperial College London, UK. His research work was based on a European research project which aimed to develop a supply chain system for manufacturing coordination in distributed supply networks. More recently, Dr Xu’ research interests have been extended to include supply chain risk management and adoption of sustainable supply chain management practices in manufacturing industries. His research work has been published in international journals such asInternationalJournalofProduction Economics,International Journalof Production Research,Journa of Manufacturing Systems, and InternationalJournalofSystems Science, among others.
