报告内容摘要

报告内容:

Upstream suppliers often need to decide whether or not to reply on dominant retailers in the

market place when they sell through the downstream partners. On one hand, powerful

retailers would help the upstream suppliers gain strong market shares. But on the other hand,

these retailers may use their market dominance to negotiate better contract terms with their

suppliers. We propose an economic model to gain some understanding of the basic trade-offs

involved in such decision making processes. (Joint with Yuhong He and Saibal Ray)

报告人简介:

Shuya Yin is an associate professor in the Paul Merage School of Business at the University

supply chains by using non-cooperative and cooperative game theory. In particular, she

studies issues such as product-return policies between channel members, secondary market

for durable products, alliances of players in selling and buying, timing of operational

decisions, and management of information flow on uncertain demand. Her research has been

published in academic journals such as Management Science, Operations Research,

Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Marketing Science, and Naval

Research Logistics. Professor Yin obtained a bachelor degree in engineering and a master’s

degree in industrial management engineering at Southeast University in Nanjing China and a
