The School of Economics and Management of Southeast University was elected as a standing member unit of the China Management Case-Sharing Center Council.
From April 21st to 23rd, 2023, the first meeting of the China Management Case-Sharing Center Council and the 14th China Management Case Academic Annual Conference were held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. The conference was hosted by the Management Case Study Professional Committee of the China Academy of Management and China Management Case-Sharing Center, under the guidance of the China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee. It was organized by the School of Management at Huazhong University of Science and Technology and the China Management Practice Research Institute. Professor Lv Hongjiang, Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management, and Associate Professor Zhou Lulu, Director of the Case Center of the School of Economics and Management, attended the conference.
In order to strengthen the exchange and cooperation between colleges and enterprises in management cases, establish a management case-sharing network that serves Chinese business schools, tell good stories of Chinese enterprises, and expand the international influence of Chinese management cases, the China Management Case-Sharing Center established the "China Management Case-Sharing Center Council". During the meeting, Song Xiaobing, Deputy Director of the China Management Case-Sharing Center and Vice Dean of the School of Economics and Management of Dalian University of Technology, introduced the concept, nature, purpose, rights, obligations, organizational structure, management and operation mechanism, and fundraising of the China Management Case-Sharing Center Council. The meeting officially passed the Charter of the China Management Case-Sharing Center Council by raising hands and determined the list of member units. A total of 220 universities nationwide became member units, and 44 universities became standing member units, with the School of Economics and Management at Southeast University being elected as a standing member unit.
Each standing member unit will form several groups based on courses, which are responsible for the case teaching construction of that course, including setting up cross-school "virtual teaching and research labs", formulating "case collection and editing guidelines," organizing course teacher training nationwide, and building professional industry-education integration bases.
This meeting is the first meeting of the China Management Case-Sharing Center Council and also the first gathering of member units. In the future, our school will further carry out case construction in accordance with the relevant requirements of the Charter of the China Management Case-Sharing Center Council and contribute to the development of Chinese management cases.
Professor Lv Hongjiang’s team got key project initiation approval of the “National Top 100 Excellent Management Cases”
On April 21, 2023, the key project initiation review meeting of the 14th "National Top 100 Excellent Management Cases" was held in Wuhan, Hubei, which was hosted by the China National MBA Education Supervisory Committee and organized by the China Management Case-Sharing Center. Professor Lv Hongjiang of our school got key project initiation approval for the case study "The Metabolism and Healthy Growth of an Ecological Organizational System: The Management Innovation of Nanjing Subway", achieving the first breakthrough for our school in this type of case study project!
Since 2018, the selection of key projects for the "National Top 100 Excellent Management Cases" aims to attract and mobilize various universities, enterprises, and related research institutions to analyze and summarize the key phenomena, major problems, and critical factors that appear in corporate practice, and to derive original results with theoretical value and practical significance. Since the release of the Guidelines for the Application of Key Projects for the 14th National Top 100 Excellent Management Cases in December 2022, a total of 31 project applications from 23 colleges and universities have been received. After initial review and expert review by the key project committee, 14 applications entered the project oral defense stage, and finally, 11 project applications were approved.
Since 2020, Professor Lv Hongjiang's team has won a total of four "National Top 100 Excellent Management Case" awards, including three general projects and one micro-case. The successful approval of this key case project is due to the accumulation of previous achievements and systematic corporate research, which is another landmark achievement in our school's case development.
The School of Economics and Management at Southeast University has become one of the standing member units of the "China Management Case-Sharing Center Council," and Professor Lv Hongjiang's team got approval for the key project of the "National Top 100 Excellent Management Case" mark significant progress for our school's management case research and development, playing an important role in promoting our school's discipline development and case construction. Our school will increase investment in case construction, encourage more teachers to immerse themselves in corporate practice, strive to develop original, localized, and high-level management cases, write more case stories with Chinese characteristics, and promote the multi-type, multi-level, and high-quality development of case research and development.
