报告内容摘要 | In information systems literature, models are commonly divided into variance and process models, following Mohr (1982). What is hardly ever discussed in IS literature is that both concepts of variance and process by Mohr contains questionable assumptions. In many other scientific disciplines, models are commonly instead divided into stage-less and stage models. In this talk, Professor Siponen talks fundamentals of stage models, and how they are different from stage-less models. Many phenomenon - or what explains or predicts it - in any discipline changes over time. Stage models are potentially useful in such cases. The whole point of departure of stage models is that either the phenomenon or its explanatory or predictive factors change. Stage models try to capture this development or change in terms of idealized stages. Cyber security examples are used to illustrate the concepts and usefulness of stage models. | |
