This paper studies a two-stage resource pooling problem with multiple resources and customers.The central decision-maker decides the capacity level of the resources within a totalbudget before the realization of uncertain demand. Then, the fulfillment policy is determinedby individual service-level requirements. The paper uses a robust satisficing frameworkto formulate the problem and allow ambiguity in the distribution of demand. Moreover,the paper introduces a new utility-based probability distance allowing the model to be solvedexactly using a column and constraint generation algorithm. The paper also provides a moreefficient solution method for some special cases. Finally, the paper conducts experiments fora process flexibility problem, which is an example of the resource pooling problem.The paper shows the advantage of our model over some benchmark approaches, and show theimpact of the flexibility structure and correlation between demands.

报告人简介：

张莲民，深圳市大数据研究院智慧城市/交通/物流大数据实验室主任、高级研究科学家，香港中文大学(深圳)兼职教授。2013年在香港中文大学系统工程与工程管理专业获得博士学位，2014年-2020年任南京大学工程管理学院讲师、副教授。主要从事基于数据驱动的运营管理研究。已在OperationsResearch、ProductionandOperationsManagement、Naval ResearchLogistics、DecisionScience、Transportation Research Part B、European Journal of Operational Research等国际SCI/SSCI期刊上发表学术论文40多篇。2021年获得深圳市海外高层次人才。现任中国物流学会理事、中国运筹学会排序分会理事、广东省运筹学会物流分会理事。香港研究资助局(RGC)项目通讯评审专家。担任Operations Research等国际顶级期刊审稿人。曾在新加坡国立大学、香港大学、香港中文大学、香港科技大学、澳门大学等访问交流。与华为、全棉时代、中广核等大型企业开展项目合作研究。
