In the highly competitive arena of academic publishing, understanding the intricacies of the submission and revision process is crucial for achieving success. This seminar, titled "Navigating the Publication Process: Techniques for Successful Submissions and Revisions at Top Journals," offers a comprehensive guide for graduate students/researchers aiming to publish their work in leading academic journals. The presentation will cover essential strategies for crafting high-quality manuscripts, selecting appropriate journals, managing the revision process, and effectively responding to reviewers' comments. By demystifying the publication process, this seminar aims to equip researchers with the tools and knowledge necessary to enhance their chances of acceptance and to contribute significantly to their respective fields.

报告人简介

Dr. Shao promotes employee wellbeing and performance and organization success through her research, teaching, executive education, and consulting on management and leadership topics.

Dr. Shao is a Professor of Management at California State University, Sacramento. She earned an MBA degree from the University of Sheffield in England, and a Ph.D. in Management degree from Drexel University. Her primary research interest lies in examining leadership processes in organizations. Her scholarly works appear in journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Organizational Behavior, Human Relations, Journal of Business Ethics, Leadership Quarterly, Journal of Vocational Behavior, Journal of Business Research, and International Journal of Stress Management. Dr. Shao has taught various organizational behavior, leadership, and human resource management courses at undergraduate, postgraduate and executive levels. She has chaired MBA theses and supervised MBA and undergraduate students’ independent studies. She is a recipient of the University’s Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities Award, and a number of teaching awards.

Dr. Shao has created, facilitated, and instructed at a variety of management and executive level training and development seminars. She teaches Executive MBA program and International MBA program at Sacramento State. Additionally, she has successfully delivered consulting projects for a variety of organizations ranging from small for-profit to large governmental organizations.
