报告内容:

A Multi-Compartment Vehicle Loading and Routing Problem (MCVLRP) isstudied to minimize transportation cost, carbon emissions, and total food loss. The problem is explored and solved by the analytical model, assisted with genetic algorithm approaches. The research investigates this Vehicle Loading and Routing Problem considering not only carbon emissions from the traveling activity, but also those generated from the compartmental cooling activity. Pareto optimality is analysed for the multiple and conflicting objectives. Well-balanced solution is identified with the finding that slight relaxing of optimality of an objective could result in significant improvement on the transport performance.


报告人简介:

Dong Li, PhD, is Reader in Operations and Supply Chain Management at the University of Liverpool. His research interest is mainly in sustainability, food supply chain management, green logistics, waste reduction. He has intensively published and guest editing in top international journals and has been primary grant holder for EC and UK funded research projects on sustainable food supply chain and logistics research.
