Abstract:

Individual behavioral preferences, which are the key to an individual's effective decision-making, not only play an important role in their own decision-making, but also affect the decision-making of their partners or competitors. This report presents two specific related topics, which attempts to fuse behavioral decision theory with game theory ideas. Topic 1: study the choice of dual-channel product differentiation strategies from the perspective of consumer free-rider behavior. Topic 2: study market entry prevention strategies from the perspective of managerial optimism. Discuss whether dual-channel product differentiation can inhibit consumers' free-riding behavior and identify the conditions for manufacturers' product differentiation strategy selection. Explore the impact of entrants' optimistic behavior on the equilibrium of all parties in the post-entry game, and the impact on entrants' entry strategies, as well as the impact on the incumbent's pricing strategy (blocking strategy). These studies developed behavioral decision theory.
