Within this department, the first grade discipline of Applied Economics subsumes two doctoral degree programs of International Trade and Regional Economics, two graduate programs in International Trade and International Business, as well as one undergraduate program in International Economics and Trade. The Department has made great achievements in the research fields of international economics, development strategies for global enterprises, urban and regional competitiveness, division of labor in different industries and regional economic development under open condition, etc. The Department aims to train senior professionals for such employers as foreign trade companies, large and medium-sized enterprises, and wholly foreign-owned enterprises to be engaged in international trade, international corporate management and international investment. Students are characteristic of solid theoretical knowledge, practical abilities, outstanding English and good adjustments. Graduates are warmly welcomed by various employers.
