On August 28, 2022, a series of academic activities of the School of Economics and Management for the 120th anniversary of SEU - the 2022 Seminar on Supply Chain Security and Modernization of Industrial Chains under New Development Pattern was successfully held with a combination of online and offline. The seminar was organized by the Editorial Department of Economic Research of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and the School of Economics and Management of Southeast University in collaboration with the School of Economics and Management of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, School of Economics of Jilin University, School of Economics of Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, School of Economics of Anhui University of Finance and Economics, Institute of Economics and Management of Southwest University of Finance and Economics, and School of Economics and Management of Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, attracting more than 200 academic colleagues to participate.

At the beginning of the conference, Huang Dawei, Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee and Vice President of Southeast University, Jin Chengwu, Director of the Editorial Department of Economic Research, and Yuan Jianhong, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School of Economics and Management of Southeast University, delivered opening speeches. Researcher Huang Qunhui, Director of Institute of Economics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Professor Hong Yongmiao, Dean of School of Economics and Management, University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, Professor Ding Yibing, Dean of School of Economics, Jilin University and Professor Li Xiaoping, Dean of School of Economics and Management, Central South University of Economics and Law were invited to give keynote speeches, which provided useful references to properly deal with the difficulties faced in the process of supply chain modernization of industrial chains.

The seminar received more than 50 papers from participants, and after the review committee's evaluation, 23 representatives from different universities and research units spoke at the forum one after another, sharing and discussing topics such as breakthroughs in core technologies in the industry and new trends in international cooperation in the supply chain of industry chain.

This seminar provided a platform for academic exchange and has important theoretical significance and practical value for grasping the strategic opportunity of the new round of industrial revolution and accelerating the development of modern industrial system.
