On the morning of September 8, the appointment ceremony of external supervisors of Southeast University Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc) and the high-end forum of leading talents were held at the Sipailou campus of Southeast University. Prof. Jin Baosheng, Vice President of Southeast University, Prof. Yuan Liudi, Vice Dean of Graduate School, Prof. Lv Hongjiang, Vice Dean of School of Economics and Management, Prof. Chen Zhibin, Head of Department of Finance and Accounting of the School of Economics and Management, 54 external supervisors and the students of MPAcc of Grade 17 and 18 attended the meeting.

Three external supervisors made wonderful speeches. They were deeply honored to be appointed as the external supervisors of students majoring in Master of Professional Accounting in Southeast University, and promised to fulfill their duties as external supervisors strictly in accordance with the requirements of talent cultivation.

Zhang Ming, General Manager of Finance Department of Jiangsu Guoxin Group, made a request to the students from four aspects of "precision, knowledge, diligence and cooperation".

Zhang Shifu, Director of Administrative Assets Management Department of Nanjing Finance Bureau, gave guidance to students

Zhang Wei, Director of Planning and Finance Office of Nanjing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, wished the students to keep the same heart and to take a step forward

Liu Jingchen, Class President of the 2018 Master of Professional Accounting Class, as a student representative, gave a speech of thanks to the external supervisors and the school

In the high-end forum for leading talents, four representatives of external supervisors, focusing on the topic of accounting masters’ training, combined with their own experience in practice, not only summarized the shortcomings of the traditional practical teaching of accounting masters, but also put forward a series of pertinent suggestions on how to teach and how to enhance the practical ability of accounting masters, and expressed that they would effectively perform their duties as external supervisors and take up the responsibilities that supervisors should assume.

Yu Lanying, Director of Audit and Risk Control Department of Jiangsu Transportation Holdings Co., Ltd. delivered a speech entitled "Building the Foundation of Practice and Soaring the Great Aspirations", imparting valuable experience to the students on how to apply professional theoretical knowledge to the practice.

Jin Qian, Vice President of Jiangsu Provincial Dental Hospital, gave a speech entitled "New Era, New Finance, New Journey". He combined the real case of the dental hospital and made an in-depth discussion with the students on how they should keep their core competitiveness in the era of big data and artificial intelligence.

Xi Ning, the Head of Audit and Legal Department of Jiangsu Coastal Development Group, talked about her study and working experience, and taught the students in depth to discover their interests and strengths, and work tirelessly for their dreams.

Jiang Xiaosan, a partner of Lixin Zhonglian CPA Firm, gave a presentation entitled "Relevant Thinking on Accounting Information Disclosure" in conjunction with his own work. Mr. Jiang analyzed the motives and talked about some unique insights of his own with regard to the problems of accounting information disclosure of listed companies in China. He instructed the students to be an accountant who sticks to the bottom line and be legally compliant.

The faculty-student meeting featured an enthusiastic exchange between the external supervisors and the students. The lively discussion brought the meeting to a climax and came to a successful end with a round of applause.

This meeting appointed a group of high-level external supervisors and had an in-depth discussion on the topics of education and cultivation of Master of Professional Accounting, which will definitely play a great role in promoting the cultivation of future Master of Professional Accounting students, thus continuously improving the level of education and cultivation of Master of Professional Accounting students in our university.
